  Re: Those RC car motors

(...) Calum and I used the RC motors in our remote control robot for live2, where we used it to beat you. :) (URL) motors were used to drive the 4 bar linkage which flipped you over on your back many times. (Steves balls.) Iain (20 years ago, 14-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: That's alotta soccer balls

(...) Gee, (looks back in thread) hmmmmmm, who started this whole thing? (...) More fun then kicking the cat. More powerful then a fully loaded .416 Rigby. More exciting then sorting huge bins of "I will get to that later"...... (...) Oh pardon me, (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  OMG Calum is a funny.

I was reading the rules page. YES i was procrastinating, AND sometimes its easier to build a robot around a loop hole then a spirit of the game robot. then I read this: ---...---snip---...--- Winning Over the course of the day, robots will be run (...)   Those RC car motors

they are IIRC, high speed. Has anyone used them as a drive motor in a robot? (AND dave if you tell me about your babrie doll car I will mock you) did you gear them? (yes i know there are 2 holes/speeds) or are these better suited for the RC car and (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: That's alotta soccer balls

this isnt going to get any better. Between Iain, and Janey, this place is going to get some abusive-power-hungry admin types to have ALL of rtl banned. oh look; a dead horse. smack, take that! smack!   Re: Pre-Dinner

(...) Go park at T1 and walk around. It's *gorgeous*. The ticketing hall alone had me hyperventalating. AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ABOUT BAGGAGE CLAIM. Iain (20 years ago, 14-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Dinner?

(...) Onomatopoeic! Ya, that's the word. The cool thing about discombobulated is that it's not a sound like traditional onomatopoeic words, but it still conveys its meaning through its sound. Derek (20 years ago, 14-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: That's alotta soccer balls

(...) Oh sorry, I missed the thread while I was down on my knees. (Not really, but I was afraid Calum would scold me with a PG rating, so I really was biting my tongue.) Reporting for duty now. Happy to get my share and apparently, Steve's ball are (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Pre-Dinner

So I have arranged to work in Toronto tomorrow :) That means at 4ish I'll be downtown, off work, with my car. Assuming 45 minutes to get to the airport at that time of day...anyone have suggestion on what to do for almost 2 hours? So...who is going (...)   Dinner?

Dinner is tomorrow night right? I've been so discombobulated lately I'm not sure what's going on. Anyway since it has very conveniently been moved further away from me and earlier, I will most likely be late. Please save me a seat. Thanks, Derek (...)   Re: That's alotta soccer balls

(...) Oh! Oh! And then, when someone leans over to see what's going on, a light sensor will detect that, and all of Steve's blue balls will explode into their eager mouth. Iain (20 years ago, 13-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: That's alotta soccer balls

I'm going to build a module which will just store up all the balls, moving them around within the module, but never letting them out. Then, it will paint all the balls blue. Iain (20 years ago, 13-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: That's alotta soccer balls

(...) I built a marble pump I'll bring to dinner, but I think Steve's balls are bigger than mine. My worry is Steve's balls will get caught in the mechanism. ... It is fun, Chris, just too easy... -Rob A> (20 years ago, 13-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: That's alotta soccer balls

(...) I'm here for ya, Steve. I just want a few of your balls--I think Janey'll get many... I'm going to see how my GBC works tonite--maybe bring a mod or 2 to dinner tomorrow night. Dave K (20 years ago, 13-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: That's alotta soccer balls
