(...) Based on the original concept, yes it would be a disqualification. I don't think it right to stipulate that you must detect the line. As I understand the game, the idea is to run down the track as fast as possible but be able to stop in the (...) (20 years ago, 27-Sep-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) I was thinking about this too.... but what if we stipulate that the robot MUST use the black electrical tape finish line for detection, and NOT the table edge? Well I just got around to entering all the sets I got at BrickFest into Peeron. My Goal for this year was to break 200 000 pieces. With my BrickFest purchases I achieved this goal. Totals: 720 Sets (357 unique), 200,904 Parts, 790 Minifigs. Now this (...) (20 years ago, 27-Sep-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Nothing. I'm saying it makes it too easy. If I find the time to do this contest, I'm going to attempt a mechanical solution no mater what the rule about hanging over the edge of the table is. But allowing edge detection instead of looking for (...) (20 years ago, 27-Sep-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
