Re: Making train switch control unit modularized

(...) The bottom of the #5 angle connector goes over the outer bracket on the switch. As like many other motorized switches, the pulleys rotate, moving the #4 axle back and forth, which moves the #5 angle connector back and forth, which moves the (...)   Re: Making train switch control unit modularized

(...) Dave - the switch is a neat construction, but I couldn't figure out how the motor activates the switch. Could you explain? There is a more compact way of using the polarity switches though. If you poke the tip of a classic space 4-long antenna (...) (21 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: 10029 Lunar Lander Errors

(...) Derek, I had a similar experience with the Street n' Mud Racer. We, the hobbiests, have a pretty automated process for creating building instruction imagery. I'm suprised that LEGO's is not as automated as ours. I find that very interesting. (...) (21 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: The OTHER rtl-Toronto

(...) The part that i like in this post is '*another* potentially controversial web address'--as in www.rtlToronto.org--the cool bunch of froods who know where their towels are--is a controversial web site. Well, maybe controversial if you look at (...) (21 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  The OTHER rtl-Toronto

Well, I mistyped rtlToronto.org the other day and put in rtl-toronto.org. In the words of Biz Markie, "Oh, snap! Guess what I saw?" (URL) of whether I believe in abortions or not, I'm a little concerned how close we are to another potentially (...) (21 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  10029 Lunar Lander Errors

(URL) just got around to building 10029 Lunar Lander. It's a really nice set, and I like the completed model. But the instructions are full of errors. I counted three separate errors. This is after I decided I should start keeping track, so there (...) (21 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  A robot space frog

When I was a little younger, I used to make these: (URL) is a robot space frog, and is made of four pieces, a slope, a antenna thing, a 2x2 round plate underneath and that weird offset piece for legs.   Making train switch control unit modularized

Since adding motorized switch units to my LEGO track Wyes, I needed to come up with a good control unit. My first was 4 switches built into one box. Then I thought, "Hey! What if I wanted to expand? Add more switches??" Inspired by rtlToronto robot (...) (21 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.trains)

(...) What?? I strongly disagree. I have the new Dark Gray already (from a little fire boat). It looks very annoyingly blue. While the old Dark Gray is more bland but "normal" looking. Anywho, just my opinion. Benjamin Medinets (21 years ago, 20-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Man I'm I Trolling for a Bruising

(...) I've run MLCAD under wine on my old laptop no problem - a P2 450, I think. But I didn't even think about the 68k problem - not sure if there even is a wine package for yellowdog. Apparently, the suggested solution is to run wine in an x86 (...) (21 years ago, 20-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Man I'm I Trolling for a Bruising

(...) MLCAD is already slow on my P2/400 Win2K machine. I shudder to think what it would be like on a 040/25 under three layers of emulation. That said, I don't think it would actually work-WINE is not an emulator--hence thw x86 code wouldn't work (...) (21 years ago, 20-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
