one wire, two wire, three wire, GO

C$ questions the rules say this: The touch sensor must be a physical Lego Mindstorms touch sensor. When a robot has completed a move it will press its own touch sensor which will be monitored by both the opponent robot and the Arbitrator. The button (...)   Re: Long Wires.

(...) Extra wire? Oh. I have 2 wires (one in, one out) attached. That's enought (for me) right? I think even with these long wires, things may still be tight, so I AM planning an bringing extra. As for pratice, we (here in Lafayette) are getting (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Long Wires.

(...) That's definitely good. The problem is we need one extra wire per robot when using the Arbitrator. So we need extra wires for this. So if you have, and can bring extra long wires, like the 3ft ones, that would be great. Derek (21 years ago, 21-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  rtl15 PreEvent Run?

Hey guys, I'm concerned about testing out how the event will work and interop between robots. I'm not concerned about Derek's arbitrator, but I am concerned robots won't interoperate between each other for some other unforseen reason. We've never (...)   Re: Long Wires.

(...) I have the real long wires (I think about 3ft) attached to my robots. Is that long enough? That gives about 2.5 ft from my bot to the arbitrator. (21 years ago, 21-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Long Wires.

(...) Actually that would be 4 pairs, 8 robots, 4 simultaneous games. I think the best solution for manageability is: 2 Laptops 2 control labs, running 2 games off each laptop. Derek (21 years ago, 21-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Long Wires.

(...) Please guys, help out here if possible. Assuming we have 4 games, that's alone 8 wires we need to setup for arbitration. (...) You can use mine, no problem. I can't see us needing more than 8 pairs of robots. Calum (21 years ago, 21-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Long Wires.

I've got all the bits to make the Arbitrator, or Arbitrators manage up to 4 simultaneous games. However I don't have enough long wires to connect that many robots to the Arbitrator. Could people please bring any extra long wires they have so we'll (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Attention guys...

(...) Just whacked the bird a whopping 587.1 with several bounces... always hated that Chilly Willy. Now quick, someone find "smack the Americn Idol contestant", because I can feel a 700 brewing. -Nick (21 years ago, 21-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Attention guys...

(...) Awesome little game Tobbe, thanks! My personal best: 576.3 (with a few bounces) It seems like the laws of projectile motion do not apply to penguidynamics :) John (21 years ago, 21-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
