I'm a uni student. However, I do live in a residential college that's on
campus. The college has phones in every student's room (easy to take for
granted when you've got it) and a LAN connection in every room. The LAN is
connected to the University (Macquarie) via a land line. And we all know how
well universities are connected. This means I have a 24/7 dedicated high speed
connection in my room included in the cost of room and board. (Actually the
telecommunications fee is set at $1/day, this includes phone connection but
not calls). (Easy to take for granted when you've got it). This means when I'm
in my room I can check Lugnet with a double click(I do it by browser). Usually
I check after breakfast, periodically through the day and last thing at night.
I don't leave the computer on 'cause I sleep in the same room.
James (who's going to _really_ miss the connection when he leaves college)
