Re: 15% sale at various Coles-Myer stores

(...) Kmart (incorporating W4K) has had a 15% off everything sale yesterday and today in NSW. I'm pretty tempted by the <set:4267> bucket myself. In the TRU sale I grabbed <set:6713 the truck soccer pincer game thing>. It's got a nice range of (...) (24 years ago, 19-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: Another Aussie Lugnet Member now 24

(...) Hi Peter, Umm.... (checking your math) I joined less than a year ago and I'm number 88. The lugnet memberships themselves are barely a year old! ;-) And, your membership page says you joined in May. (Or maybe that's just the time you paid?) (...)   Re: Another Aussie Lugnet Member now 24

(...) Kerry I joined close to 12 months ago at no 348 add that up and you get about 330 new "lugneter's" in a year (no wonder there is no more Lego around to buy) See you all on Sunday. Peter (24 years ago, 19-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Another Aussie Lugnet Member now 24

(...) This shows the rate that LUGnet is growing. You joined 18 Nov as #676 and I joined exactly one month earlier (18 Oct) as #599. So 77 new members in a month. Not bad growth! Kerry (24 years ago, 19-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)

Scaling CVEs (was Re: 2879 Bi-planes and dingies)

(...) Dunno, I scale more by eye than calipers. The flight deck is wide enough to get two of the planes (discussed elsewhere) side by side, matching what I see in WWII pics. I'm using all four of the MB carriers to hand for the flightdeck. Working (...) (24 years ago, 18-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.au)

(...) Richard, what aircraft will you have on the deck (if any) ? If you need those yellow 'inflatables' earlier than the next meeting, email me your postal address and I will mail them next week. pete.w <aquanaut@optusnet.com.au> (24 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.au)

  CVEs (was Re: Dinghies)

(...) Well put. In fact, as far as I am aware no-one has any anymore, and they do not even exist in the US mothhball fleet. They were a cheap expedient for the English to cover convoys after they had had the stupidity to fritter away what started (...) (24 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.au)
