Re: I'm going to The Wedding!!!

(...) 4-wide is more in the Classic LEGO style, but as Ross says the side-by-side effect is pretty desirable. Maybe something in 6-wide using half-stud offsets like the SW Landspeeder, although that makes it trickier to use the old mudguards etc. (...)   Re: So what about 9v level crossings?

(...) No problem ! In fact you could use white and pretend that part is concrete. The barriers (red + white alt.) might be a bit trickier, maybe the little tubes are a bit more common in Technic sets. pete.w (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)

(...) fit (...) a (...) The more the better! Makes it more of an Aussie Gift (tm). It'd be nice if two minifigs could fit side-by-side. Although I s'pose they could be just standing beside it. Anyone got bride+groom minifigs? ROSCO (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: I'm going to The Wedding!!!

(...) I can give this a burl -- probably don't need the instructions. Where do you fit the roll-bar? Do people think that a traditional 4-wide car is okay, or would a 6 or 8 wide be better? I'm leaning toward the 8-wide option myself -- they can (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)

Unfortunatly I dont have the pieces and getting them would probobly be hard (and/or expensive) If there is anyone who has lots of older type town car pieces (like car doors) that (...)   Re: So what about 9v level crossings?

(...) I hadn't realised that the ramp/rails/road wasn't a preformed piece until I read this (same for the barrier arms), so I went and downloaded the instructions off brickshelf to see how it was formed. I reckon I can build one of these myself, it (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: I'm going to The Wedding!!!

(...) Similar idea without the tokens--I spotted some happy little vegemite filled tumblers (like the nutella ones) the other day. There must be Vegemite teatowels and so forth readily avialable at gift shops. I'm still keen on the MOC idea, but I (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)

And does anyone have one of those Vegemite mugs they're currently offering (I don't eat enough VM to get three tokens yet...)? Then even if they hate the paste, they can (...)   Re: I'm going to The Wedding!!!

Or how about indigenous Australian art? You know, the pictures of kangaroos or patterns all made from dots. Only our dots would all have "Lego" written on them like studs do. I fear this is a job for Kev though :-) Gosh, I just love weddings. Kerry (24 years ago, 28-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: I'm going to The Wedding!!!

Ahh, I have it this time. We get one of those "snow domes" with the Opera House or Ayers Rock (or both!) and open it up (caution, children, don't try this at home), insert a couple of singlet-wearing Bruce and Sheila minifigs, and reseal it.   Re: So what about 9v level crossings?

(...) As far as Sydney goes...they aren't available at retail, unless they are sitting in a non-Lego place somewhere. At the beginning of 2000, there were two in W4K, I bought one on the off-chance I would one day possess a train, the other one sold (...) (24 years ago, 28-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)
