How to move a planet.  That's easy just use the Death Star.  Now if you want • to
move it in one piece that is another matter entirely. :-)

1.  Oooo can we start a Stargate Physics vs. Star Trek Physics debate?  I
say that a Goauld mothership could take out the Enterprise-D, except that
the Goaulds' weak understanding of tactics would make it too easy for the
Federation... :-,

The Federation has NO understanding of tactics.  First Contact for example,
they needed Piccard to tell them to concentrate their fire on one spot. Well
duh.

I thought the story behind that was, that as Locutus, Piccard had insider
knowledge of a borg cube's weakspot, hence it's rapid destruction.

The Cube being basd on a modular repeating redundant structure means you
have to destroy 75% just to deminish it's performance capabilities
(according to an old episode of TNG IIRC).

Their is a breakdown of logic of course, how could a ship with such
redundancy have a singular weakspot?

Obviously this disproves the inital assumption made by Starfleet that the Borg
Cube would still be functional with 75% damage. It also shows that a
concentrated barrage of fire overwhelms the Borg ability to adapt to
energy weapons. Multiple episodes of Voyager illistrate this as well.  My
problem is that Starfleet wasn't even concentrating their fire in the first
place.  I mean anyone with an iota of tactical knowledge should know that when
you have many smaller (insert whatever) you should concentrate your fire versus
one large (insert whatever 2.)

Obviously I still enjoy watching Star Trek (and most sci-fi shows/movies) but I
hate when they ignore established canon and just make something up.
