  Re: GEEKS HELP!

(...) All this time I thought Office2K was only 2KB, not 1GB. <wink> --Todd (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: GEEKS HELP!

(...) Oh, Office2k isn't that big, not unless you install every single little thing, including maybe a ton of clipart. I just did a reinstall of almost the full thing yesterday (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Frontpage) with all the templates, (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: GEEKS HELP!

(...) I'd say it's an ok deal, especially if you don't build your own or can't find a better deal. No, I would not buy it, at any price. Well, maybe for $100, but I don't buy stock machines, not for myself. (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Personally, I would buy a non-intel chip (and save a lot there) to splurge on a much, (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: GEEKS HELP!

I didn't want to taint all of your responses. They want $1099. So am I hearing that would be a good deal, maybe not a great deal? Would *you* touch it? -JOhn (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Guide to Star Wars vehicles?

Does there exist any guides to the Star Wars vehicles on the net? Not the LEGO ones, that is, but the ones from the movies. I'm thinking of something with lots of drawings and diagrams. I've already seen (URL) I find the images to be a tad (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: GEEKS HELP!

(...) If that's a Gateway then I'd say look at a comparable model on their website, then think maybe 75% or less of that price. I wouldn't pay more than maybe ... $1100-1200 for it? I wouldn't buy it at all, but if I were recommending it I wouldn't (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Any good books on jurisprudence?

Has anyone read any books on jurisprudence that they could recommend, specifically in the areas of history, sociology, or anthropology? The other night at the bookstore I almost bought (and probably still will someday)... (URL) was more immediately (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.off-topic.geek)
