  Re: Paypal down?

(...) Thanks, Larry. But just for the record, I didn't confuse the circumstances with anything. I had maybe twenty minutes to handle some matters late last night and I was annoyed that I was not going to be able to accomplish them. I did not know (...)   Re: Paypal down?

(...) Some people, even people who are "of scarey" (sic) "high intelligence" sometimes confuse a service being down with network or DNS problems elsewhere. Not being able to get to a site at all often (not always) is symptomatic of a nameserver (...) (24 years ago, 29-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.services, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Lugnet Sherlock-plugin?

Is there a Sherlock Plugin available for Lugnet News/the Pause set Database? Is it easy to make your own sherlock plug-ins? (I'm not going to make one for Lugnet, just being curious) --Tobias (24 years ago, 29-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Space and Arch photos (was Re: BrickShelf error )

(...) Spaces aren't allowed? Oh - OK - <tries again with no spaces...> Hey - It works. Since space was the problem, I uploaded my photos from the Air & Space Museum that I shot on my visit to Virginia. :-) (URL) photos that I was trying to upload in (...)   Re: BrickShelf error (was Re: Fun with Track Designer...)

(...) Do your filenames have any spaces in them or are they longer than 32 characters (including extension)? I just noticed a bunch of failed uploads with spaces in filenames. KL (24 years ago, 28-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Why does lugnet force my to re-register periodically?

(...) Is that the _only_ cookie you see for .lugnet.com in your cookies file?? If so, your browser has dumped the other LUGNET cookies that were there and only left you with that one cookie. (...) The above cookie you list isn't expired (otherwise (...) (24 years ago, 28-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: BrickShelf error (was Re: Fun with Track Designer...)

(...) It didn't work. I moved my computer "outside the proxy" and tried again, but no dice. I even tried making a new folder and uploading just that little 6K photo to it. "Internal Server Error" Grrrrr. SRC (24 years ago, 28-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Why does lugnet force my to re-register periodically?

Periodically (every month or so) Lugnet wants me to re-register and be re-verified, even though there is a cookie for Lugnet in the cookies.txt file in my Netscape directory. The cookie looks like this: .lugnet.com TRUE / FALSE 2147483602 (...) (24 years ago, 28-Sep-00, to lugnet.admin.nntp, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: BrickShelf error (was Re: Fun with Track Designer...)

(...) I just tried again with a file a mere 6K in size and I still get the error message. The jpgs I uploaded a week ago are five or ten times as big - they worked fine. A possible clue - after the inital error message, the Upload | Reload | Edit | (...) (24 years ago, 28-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Unexpected Email Message

(...) Thanks for the correction. Yes, it is indeed the 'Precedence' header and not the 'X-Precedence' header. The outgoing news-to-mail gateway on LUGNET sets 'Precedence' to 'list' for both regular and digest messages. --Todd [followups to (...)
