My only previous experiance with Unix was when I was forced to be the system administrator for an HP-UX system running seriously mission critical (...) I've decided I need another hobby, so I'd like to get a cheap-but-decent Intel compatible system to run Linux on. Problem is, I have no clue what the market for such systems is like.
