  Re: Micronauts from Palisades toys

(...) Not to be pedantic, but I fear my memory may be going--wasn't it "Force Commander" in the original release? I can't recall! Dave! (22 years ago, 6-Jun-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Micronauts from Palisades toys

I think there was supposed to be a separate order # for Baron Karza etc. The random assortment was for the 4 small figures, since Time Traveler comes in many colors. I think the others were one version, Acroyear (my favorite), the metal action (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jun-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Micronauts from Palisades toys

(...) my initial post. The magnetic connection points will no doubt be steel. I am hoping that the models will likewise be metal and plastic just as the originals were. (...) The random assortment is my biggest fear because all I really need is a (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jun-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Micronauts from Palisades toys

The new Micronauts are touted to be just like the old ones. I don't know that the new batches have shipped quite yet. When they do ship they will be random assortment. The unfinished web site: (URL) an issue of ToyFare. There has been at least a (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jun-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Micronauts from Palisades toys

Hey Y'all: I know some of you are very well connected toy-wise -- so does anyone know anything about the re-release of vintage styled Micronauts toys from Palisades? I am basically interested in availability, price, and where I should be looking for (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  book excerpts/ wanderering

I discovered a while back that on a significant number of books at amazon.com there is a feature called look inside. Sample pages of the books were available for my reading pleasure. Some a mere 6 or so pages, but others as many as 32. some of the (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jun-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Legend Ultimate Edition

(...) Well, this must be why George Lucas still has a career... The director's cut/international version develops the characters and the plot more fully. In the U.S. version you may surmise that Lily is a princess, but it is not discussed with the (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jun-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: SF Registry hits 1000

(...) My misunderstanding. Thought you were referring to yourself when you said you didn't want to date yourself:-/ I misunderstood because back then as a kid, I thought she was a hottie-- we *all* would have liked to date her! -John (22 years ago, 3-Jun-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: SF Registry hits 1000

(...) I can't speak to Artie's tastes either now or then. But presumably he wasn't planning on sleeping for 30 years first, so the former. I personally have never evinced any such desire. Hope that clears things up. (22 years ago, 3-Jun-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: SF Registry hits 1000

(...) Oh God, I hope you mean the Goldie of yesteryear, not the clueless, political activist one of today. "Happiness muscle???" HI-O!!! -John (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jun-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: SF Registry hits 1000

(...) "Verrrrry Interesting... but I'm not sure I want to date myself, I'd rather date Goldie." (1) 1 - Artie never said exactly THAT, but did evince some desires in that direction if you paid attention... I missed them when I was younger but they (...)   Re: Legend Ultimate Edition

(...) I'm going to have to disagree with you here. I think the original US release is the better of the two. The additional scenes in the Director's Cut don't really add much to the film, and Jerry Goldsmith's score, while very nice, does not convey (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jun-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Legend Ultimate Edition

(...) Of course this is way off topic :) But of course, we already picked up our copy as well! Mwahaha. Yes, there are many differences between the Directors Cut and the US Release, but I won't tell everyone to forget the US Release. Reasons why? Of (...)   Re: National nouns (was:Americans, North Americans, Americasians)

(...) Noted. I made some confusion when translating this into my own native language, then back; what I meant wasn't exactly what I wrote, and I only realize that now. Sorry 'bout it. :-( Clarification: I meant to express the similaritude in the (...) (22 years ago, 1-Jun-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Legend Ultimate Edition (((Castle Inspiration)))

(...) Well, Mr. walking-talking advertisement for the film, why didn’t you provide a link? (2 URLs) a look at the cover-art on the DVD case!!!) (URL) Willow is a good compliment to Legend… <end commercial> --==RïçhårÐ==-- (22 years ago, 1-Jun-02, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Legend Ultimate Edition

Hey Y'all: Just a quick note here to mention the release of the DVD "Legend Ultimate Edition." U.S. fans of this previously deeply flawed film should prick up their virtual ears and take note that this release is actually 2 discs in one and all for (...)   Re: Space Boys! YOU ARE GO... for Brickfest!

(...) You know, I tried to come up with a response to this, but I just couldn't think of anything that would be appropriate for a public forum. ;^) (22 years ago, 1-Jun-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Solid Aluminum 2x4 Bricks!

(...) I guess this redefines the word 'Bricksmith'. They look really good, but alas, should you not have cross posted to o-t.clone. ;-) Jude (22 years ago, 1-Jun-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: National nouns (was:Americans, North Americans, Americasians)

(...) Perhaps I'm confusing American Indian practices where I've always understood it to be okay to use the terms "tribe" or "tribal". Perhaps I'm relying too much on my Apache co-workers, who don't have a problem with "Indian" either, (beyond of (...) (22 years ago, 1-Jun-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: National nouns (was:Americans, North Americans, Americasians)

(...) Check this if you want to see who lives in the CAR and what languges they speak: (URL) best LFB n.b.: The term "tribes" is very pejorative. Sorry, it's a pet peeve. If you want to know why, I can elaborate over in .debate, complete with links. (22 years ago, 31-May-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)
