She couldn't find the rest [of the Potter books] in paperback, and I hate
hard cover.

???  What's to hate about hard cover?

Leaves less money for Lego(r)

Not me--I only buy paperback Lego(r).

I've bought some hardcover LEGO books, but then as far as I know, it's the only
way to stretch for ultimate Pirate completeness (which is eluding me by one
set, one book, some service packs, any keychains, all variants of boxes and
instructions, and any random memorabilia).

But this thread is drifting off-topic, if we want to continue it, we should
take it to lugnet.fun, or lugnet.pirates, or lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade
(if you want to help me complete my collection...)...
