  Re: It finally happened.

(...) <snip> (...) Hmm. If all the skin were peeling off my hands, I think I'd be *going* to the hospital! I hope that whatever it is, you're feeling better and this doesn't happen too often. After all, I've almost finished *my* airship, so Vincent (...) (25 years ago, 22-Dec-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

(...) Geoffrey... I have to agree with Shiri's analysis. I independently arrived at the same conclusion she did. So either we're both confused (and in similar ways), or the problem *is* consistent and admits of a logical answer which is the one we (...) (25 years ago, 22-Dec-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: King, Queen & Jack

Thanks, Shiri - I think I got it right the first time. The statement I figured could possibly be true was most likely to have been correct, and after you posted, I think it is. -- Cheers ...   Re: King, Queen & Jack

The thing is, Geoffrey, that the point is not proving a, b *or* c true or false; but rather answering the question (is there, or is there not, an ace). Which is why the wording *is* actually valid... Haven't ever seen this before, but I love solving (...) (25 years ago, 22-Dec-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Santa (Physics, you gotta love it! : ) )

This is funny, but they forgot to include all of Santa's helpers all over the world, including Santas who stand in for him from every place from department stores, to the street corner. I think if they figured things out, and took into account his (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Problems with Christianity

I wonder if Todd would find it as funny as you seem to? I certainly don't think it ought to be in o-t.fun - kindly take it to the appropriate forum for this kind of discussion. -- Cheers ... Geoffrey Hyde Bruce Schlickbernd (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

(...) Actually, this has happened once before, believe it or not. Four years ago. I didn't have a digital camera back then, so I couldn't document it. We do have some "real" photos though.
