Re: LEGO SET GUIDE - The Big Picture ?

(...) Hey, even a stopped clock is right 2 times a day (only once if you're in the military, there's a moral there somewhere...) Scott's right more often than you think, Shiri. I just usually think he could phrase stuff more smoothly, that's all. If (...) (25 years ago, 3-Oct-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Anguish languish

(...) 'shock' worked OK, but why'd they throw in an extra syllable with 'cussed'? Even if you pronounce it with a single syllable, it doesn't add any value over 'cuss'. Steve (25 years ago, 2-Oct-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, lugnet.off-topic.pun)

  Re: Anguish languish

(...) Shock is definitely right for the way I remember it being pronounced on the TV show. The way I understand it to be pronounced would be something like (warning, fixed font required for proper viewing): __ _ zhak koo sto using standard (...)   Re: Sale announcements (Was Beware more SPAM...)

(...) Caving. Rappel equipment certainly did originate with climbers, but the rappel rack is definitely a caver invention (and what I saw the window washers using is definitely a rappel rack like the kind invented by cavers). I think some climbers (...) (25 years ago, 2-Oct-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Architecture project 2

(...) Here are some updated renders. I still need to do the interior, landscaping, and detailing (especially more realistic windows...) (URL) (25 years ago, 1-Oct-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: LEGO Ties (was: Re: Specials at The Store 30 August)

(...) I think a Lego tie is realy feasable, try this: Gather a lot of "Technic Brick with Holes" parts (by some people also mistakingly known as "technic beams") place them side to side on a flat surface, starting with a size 1 x 4, then a 1 x 6, 1 (...)   Re: Architecture project 2

(...) Thanks! (...) Well, I've got a better idea of the design after going to class on Thursday. The rotated square is being scrapped, so that at least should make it easier to build. If I have time this weekend, I'll probably work on a more (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Architecture project 2

Hey, That looks really nice. Le Corbusier is one of my favorite architects - although some of his stuff is a bit too severe for my tastes. It would be fun to model your building in LEGO, but the geometry and curved structures would make that fairly (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Macs Rule, PCs drool! (was Re: Lego blew it AGAIN...)

(...) The same tired line again and again... Do you own stock or something? Macs don't multi-task the last time I checked. All boxes and platforms are only as good as the purposes they serve. I can code on a piece of paper with a pencil. The box (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Mongols + Arabian Knights?

(...) Ahh, what a show, what a show! I saw it on July 8th, here in Boston, performed by what I think were college students (but I'm not sure...) The ultimate message was great. Follow your dreams, no matter what anyone else says. Amen to that! (...) (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.off-topic.fun)
