The Coney Island Cyclone opened this weekend. There was/is a gathering of
Cyclone fans happening today (yeah right, yesterday it was 73 degrees; today
its snowing - yes snowing).
Anyway, for thsoe of you who don't know, Cedar Point is opening the first
giga-coaster this year - Millennium Force - 310 feet tall with the first drop
of 80 degrees and 122 degree banked turns. http://www.cedarpoint.com/
There are some great construction photos, a live webcam and a streaming video
(13mg), but make sure to check out the Ohio AAA page - there is a new pic of a
train going over the top. Also checkout the postcard - cool pic of the last
overbanked turn.
I plan on going to CP the Monday before Memorial Day. I may check out Geauga
Lake as well (unfortunately now - Six Flags Ohio). I'm going to Dorney Park
the Friday before that.
Any other Coasterfans around? Any coaster trips planned.
