(...) Thanks! I sampled up the original 384x288 renderings to 768x576 by using some bicubic technique, and used these to make an MPEG animation. (...) Yeah, I noticed. It's probably an artifact of the MPEG encoding. I can see if I can encode it at slightly less compression, to see if it goes away then.
