There’s the Republican Liberty Caucus (RLC website), a
group that says it is trying to work within the GOP to make it more (small L)
libertarian...
I can’t speak to whether it’s having any positive effect on the party or not.
John Neal thinks it does.
Personally, at least lately, I think what’s really needed is a DLC instead. I’ve
just about written off the GOP as a source of small government or freedom. The
GOP ain’t Ronnie’s party any more.
