Lenny,

Christians would point to passages such as this from Mark 14:

61Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?” 62”I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.” 63The high priest tore his clothes. “Why do we need any more witnesses?” he asked. 64”You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?” 65They all condemned him as worthy of death.

And claim that at that point Jesus did indeed claim equality with God, and that the high priest recognized it as such, and that is why they condemned him. There are many other passages where Christ either claims God’s qualities or took on his role (e.g. forgiving sins, another thing that ticked off the religious leaders, who rightly saw it as claiming God’s role).

For the Record, Brendan quotes Luke on that scene:

I don’t want to get into a debate on Christ’s identity, just to state the Christian understanding.

Lastly, where is this minifig torso from?

That’s the Frankenstein Monster from the Studios Monsters sets.

(...) that is calculated to be offensive to Christians. However, it does support the argument of Jews that Jesus isn't the Messiah.
