Justify their claims, not discern the truth, not to find out what went wrong,
not to tell the people of the world what the real motive was, but to ‘shore up’
their false claims.
Basically they want their stories to match.

They’re probably going to talk about who’s going to fall on their sword? The
CIA guy is already looking like he’s about to commit that act to ‘protect’ the
moron in charge.
Eh, there’s the ball game folks, all that’s left now is the cleanup. The
problem is there were no winners in this game. None except the terrorists.
