You misunderstand the purpose of worship. Worship is *not* required nor needed
by God, but is the natural expression of thanks by His people for what God has
done/is doing/will do. Worship should be joyful. What God requires of us is
to love Him as Jesus taught, which is that, as we love one another, we love
God. Said another way is that the way we express our faiths is through our
interaction with one another. "Whatsoever you do unto the least of my
children, that you do unto me."

It may be. But we are talking about a higher righteousness. You actually
sound much like the Pharisees, who were extremely righteous and devout as they
followed the Torah (Law). But Jesus railed on them (Jesus, the first
trainiac?;-)

I don't know why you would be bitter about a God who loves everyone
unconditionally regardless of what they do. *Only* God has the right to judge,
and yet He chooses to forgive. *This* is the true nature of God Jesus
revealed. Be glad He *isn't* as such you describe.
