(...) "And Who's going to be president, Tweedle Dumb or Tweedle Dumber..." (a free Lego piece to the first one to ID the singer :) I'm of the oppnion that you need a scorecard to tell just where the 2 of them stand as regards a issue...and it had (...) (...) up, they're almost as hilarious as Quayle-isms. Does grammar matter? Here's Roger Ebert's view: (URL) is a very well known film critic who doesn't make a secret of his politics. As a political pundit, he's a pretty good film critic. But he's (...) (24 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

(...) It may depend on what your opinion of the problem is. :-) If you put a disclaimer that says, "Some materials may be unsuitable for some viewers," or "Viewer discretion is advised," or "Some materials may be unsuitable for young audiences," (...) (...) But you must admit they had more of an emotional range than JarJar. (...) "Ewoks have survival skills"? You're talking about a race that has wood-and-leather hang gliders, which they use in dense forest, against high-tech weapons. Sounds fairly insane to me. Almost as insane as the fact that they won. Bleh. Steve (24 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.starwars)

(...) Greco's annoyance was a bit misdirected, so I apologize. I was more annoyed with Dan for instantly changing his cartoon. I didn't think you were calling for any type of censorship. (24 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

(...) I remember when Tipper pushed through the "Parental Advisory" labels on CD/Tape packaging. I was in Junior High or High School at the time (don't remember exactly which) and soon after she got those pushed through, there were T-shirts and hats (...)   Re: My Official Viewpoint

(...) What I would love to see for the web is a simple set of html "ratings" tags. These would be voluntarily applied by authors, and would be used by browsers to block access or give warning before proceding as the machine owner desires (and I do (...)   Re: My Official Viewpoint

Larry, Thanks. I now realize my post would have been more appropriate to the other branch of this thread where the debate seems to be more on the JarJar hatred than the whole responsability issue. As far as the censorship debate goes, I personally (...) (24 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
