Re: Why is AIDS such a big deal?

(...) You are making the assumption that everyone knows that it is unsafe and that everyone knows how to have safe sex. Two major misconceptions. I'll give you an example: Catholic schools do not teach sex education. Yes you can make the arguement (...) (24 years ago, 2-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Why is AIDS such a big deal?

(...) Let's review for a sec, here... when my uncle Gary got it back in 1984, there was a good argument that it wasn't his fault. People at that time didn't know how to go about preventing it. Now, they do. Haemopheliacs are at the mercy of a clean (...) (24 years ago, 2-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Time Warnrer Cable drops ABC local Channels

(...) Ya, I'd say government fostered cable monopolies aren't serving the customer interest very well, are they? If Time Warner had some competition in their markets other than rabbit ears perhaps they wouldn't have the chutzpah to point fingers at (...) (24 years ago, 2-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Why can't we have a Lando: Lego's Race policy

(...) The reason is because Canada is really a US Territory; you all just don't realise it yet. ;D Jeff (for the humor impaired, this is a joke, therfore follow-ups to off.topic.fun) (24 years ago, 2-May-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

(...) did. (...) Seeing as how I started this in the first place, I should end it. I feel that the conversation took a bad turn quite a while ago. I was a tad bit upset with Mike, and ir he was with me, that's OK. So, I think it's time to just drop (...) (24 years ago, 2-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Why can't we have a Lando: Lego's Race policy

(...) I know you don't blame me, Mike. I apologize for going off the handle like I did. I imagine you MUST have noticed, but I'm a rather stubborn person, and will fight to the death and drive an issue into the ground. And I've been brought up to (...)   Time Warnrer Cable drops ABC local Channels

Time Warner Cable was unable to get Disney to sign a contract to allow the cable broadcasting of ABC local channesl. Not a smart move for Disney during sweeps month, especially in a market as large as NYC. So, for now, I have no ABC on cable (not a (...) (24 years ago, 2-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Why can't we have a Lando: Lego's Race policy

(...) Whether you blame him or not, you jumped all over him, both when he made the statement in the first place as well as when he tried to correct himself. I'm sure you have nothing against Chris personally, but it seemed to me (and, apparently, to (...) (24 years ago, 2-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
