(...) That one I'll give you. Then again, I use a development which supports case-insensitive text matching. Which is definitely a double-edged sword. (...) Nah. (...) two. (...) Oh, I'm sorry, I was about to say that Lush Rimboy's evil cousin Rush Limbaugh is always good for a laugh or two. ;-) Bruce (admittedly, I have a low opinion of all talk radio, not just Rush) (25 years ago, 16-Mar-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Mormon bashing again

(...) currently (...) This has been addressed in this string already. If you don't want the 8 fold path forced on you, it is only reasonable that you shouldn't force the 10 commandments on someone else. It's that simple. (...) of (...) such (...) If (...) I KNOW I have mikestanley@yahoo.com as an account from years ago, but even though I know I could answer the "secret question" you have to give them they won't go to that point of the verification process with me because (...)   Re: Trying to understand

(...) Yeah, well, all that really proves is that just like people will watch trash on television they'll listen to it on the radio. (25 years ago, 16-Mar-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Mormon bashing again

My personal summation of the matter is as follows: (not that anyone should or will care) Ultimately, this matter started over the issue of posting of the ten commandments and teaching creation. Still, it's hard to say that the simple posting of the (...) (25 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Trying to understand

  Re: Trying to understand

(...) Hedonist and Libertarian Tom Leykis is #1 in LA area (that includes far right Orange County). Not that I'd know either way - my 8 year old likes Radio Disney over either of those two. ;-) Bruce (25 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

LUGNET is my new home page...

...it used to be my.yahoo.com. Their news and channel services, while hardly unique, were what attracted me to them in the first place. Presumably due to my gender and age, I've been subjected to Yahoo's banner ads for Playboy, Maxim, and some other (...) (25 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: one of the many reasons I think Slashdot sucks now

(...) If it fails, I'll take all the blame. But if it works, I can't take all the credit; there was a big thread last week with lots of good ideas from other people. --Todd (25 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.admin.general)

Re: one of the many reasons I think Slashdot sucks now

(...) Well, I shoulda known you would come up with something better. I still think the human part of the equation could degenerate to Slashdot-like levels, but you will probably control it better. (25 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.admin.general)
