Re: MegaBloks announces Mobile Suit Gundam License

(...) I wonder if they'll make a realistic picture (...) David, now adays, clutch problems are the result of a sculpture pushing the envelope of the elements capacity, not poor manufacturing standards. Lego, MB and the Cobi version of Best Lock are (...) (...) Aw, shucks. I'll make a list... Of course, now that you've chimed in, that means that every Dave in the universe participated in the thread. Dave! (19 years ago, 26-Jun-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: MegaBloks announces Mobile Suit Gundam License

(...) By the way, let me just mention how it warms my heart to see a discussion of Mega Bloks both Highlighted and on the LUGNET spotlight for close to 48 hours straight. Dave! (19 years ago, 26-Jun-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: MegaBloks announces Mobile Suit Gundam License

(...) Go for it, I say! Mega Bloks often posts their instructions online, even for current sets, so you won't even have to steal any intellectual property to do it. Heck, if LEGO put out any designs that I found interesting enough to borrow, I would (...) (19 years ago, 26-Jun-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: MegaBloks announces Mobile Suit Gundam License

(...) Maybe that's the crux of it. I've never been much for building robots or gear-based machines, so perfect tolerances aren't really a factor. I love the slight variations when building walls or hulls, kind of like the way Star Trek vessels are (...) (19 years ago, 26-Jun-06, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: MegaBloks announces Mobile Suit Gundam License

(...) As the owner and builder of about 3000 LEGO sets and 200 MB sets, I have done a lot of comparing the two brands over the years. MB from last millenium is definately of poor quality, just like you describe. MB from the Dragon sets does earn (...) (19 years ago, 26-Jun-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: MegaBloks announces Mobile Suit Gundam License

(...) Each to their own I suppose. Outside of the odd mech or spaceship, I generally build robots and machines. Not lining up straight could be a major problem if a mechanism snags something. Of course for more aesthetic models, it actually may add (...) (19 years ago, 26-Jun-06, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: MegaBloks announces Mobile Suit Gundam License

(...) I love the idea of boycotting the Mega blok sets but making the models from Lego. Steve (19 years ago, 24-Jun-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: MegaBloks announces Mobile Suit Gundam License

(...) Yes sadly the Dragons and Pyrates Mega Bloks lines are some of the worst quality they have done. Its not because of the juniorizedness of the sets either. For some reason the part quality is no where near as good as Mega Bloks' more brick (...) (19 years ago, 25-Jun-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)
