Re: Apocryphal Blacktron revisited —Richard Marchetti
Dave! I think you need to place these images within the context of some basic html because freewebs bombs direct links to images. <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE>davesbitchinc...oc</TITLE> </HEAD> <BODY> <IMG SRC="davesbitchinclonemoc.jpg" BORDER=0 HEIGHT=400 (...)      (...) Doh! Oh well--that'll give me something to work on during lunch. Stay tuned! Dave! (21 years ago, 29-Jul-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

(...) Oops! Let's try this again: (URL) may take a minute or two to load the six images. Dave! (21 years ago, 29-Jul-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.space)

Re: Apocryphal Blacktron revisited —Richard Marchetti
I particularly like 3 and 4, 5 seems a little unfinished somehow because of the semi-open cockpit space. I'd like to see the other side of 3 and I think 5 would be fairly easy to improve. Are you missing a CAD version of a certain trans-yellow (...) (21 years ago, 29-Jul-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: Apocryphal Blacktron revisited —Dave Schuler
(...) Strangely, #3 was something of a rough draft to play with a different leg articulation and toe design, though I'm pleased with its overall appearance. I like #5 in general, but those Blok-Bots faceplates are a pain to render, so I went with (...) (21 years ago, 29-Jul-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Apocryphal Blacktron revisited —Mike Petrucelli
(...) Nice. Kind of makes me wish Mega Bloks would do a space theme while TLC is on its Star Wars hiatus. You have illustrated that they could do it very well with thier part selection. :-) -Mike Petrucelli (21 years ago, 29-Jul-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Apocryphal Blacktron re-revisited —Richard Marchetti
(...) I think the underneath area needs some work maybe -- it's too flat, and I hate that (like you care, right?). And why aren't you trying some clever use of the landing gear that comes with that blue jet? What are those areas of 4 grey 1x1 round (...)           Re: Apocryphal Blacktron re-revisited —Dave Schuler
(...) Interesting! I like a smooth-ish undersurface for some reason, maybe a for the minimal below-wing profile. I dunno. I tend toward atmospheric-style craft designs, and I guess I've stuck to a format. Maybe that's something to work on for the (...) (21 years ago, 22-Aug-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Apocryphal Blacktron revisited —Dave Schuler
I've added a new mech at the top of (URL) page.> I wanted to experiment with foot and cockpit design, and this is what I came up with. Thanks for looking! Dave! FUT: OT.Clones (20 years ago, 11-Aug-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Apocryphal Blacktron revisited —Richard Marchetti
(...) I got half of them this morning, the other half did not display. I have past experience with freewebs when the same problem came up.         Re: Apocryphal Blacktron revisited —Dave Schuler

Re: Apocryphal Blacktron revisited —Richard Marchetti
(...) Yeah, I really like this MOC. The details helped, I think. I hadn't noticed the cones on the back of the legs previously, and that's a nice detail. How are you generating your flash file, Dave! Multiple renders out of POV, manipulated in Flash (...) (21 years ago, 30-Jul-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Apocryphal Blacktron revisited —Dave Schuler
(...) Thanks! Your initial suggestion was right on the money--I like the way the finished product looks with the interrupted/irregular top surface. More interesting to the eye. (...)
