TLC Learns to Mega Bloks -- Re: #4793 Ogel Shark Sub

Hey Y'all: This has already been partially discussed in this thread: (URL) seems to now be designing elements and whole sets around lessons learned from Ritvik/Mega Bloks -- and in some respects I think they are not learning the lessons very well, (...)   Re: Careful what you wish for: clone LOTR blocks sighted

(...) They'd definitely be worth buying at that price--the brick quality is quite good, and the SPUD-ish pieces are pretty cool in their own right. Admittedly, the pre-formed rock pieces aren't very versatile, but the gargoyle and beige statue (...) (24 years ago, 3-Jan-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Careful what you wish for: clone LOTR blocks sighted

(...) The special pieces in Weathertop were what I like the most. $5.20 would be a very attractive price for some unique architectural elements. Really each set has its good points (note: the bricks are worse than the plates). As some of us fans (...) (24 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Careful what you wish for: clone LOTR blocks sighted

(...) As of this afternoon the LOTR sets appeared to be 50% off. The above sets were $7.40. Prancing Pony Inn was $14.90 IIRC (no guarantee-- in another post I gave wrong prices-- sorry). If the small sets last to $4.94 I will give them a try. (...) (24 years ago, 3-Jan-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: IS LEGO COPYING MEGABLOKS NOW?

(...) unfamiliar with the MegaBloks set in question, I'll post a pic of it tonight. The similarities are extensive and undeniable (though admittedly there's a certain "look" demanded by the theme). It amuses me greatly that LEGO is now effectively (...) (24 years ago, 31-Dec-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

LEGO InMotion (was: OK...this is kinda' neat...)

(...) <*chuckle*> If it weren't so DAMN ugly, the Aztek would fit into this catagory too. Speaking of LEGO cars...am I the only person out there who is actually willing to buy an InMotion ((URL) if it were to ever come out? Or even some of it's (...)   Re: OK...this is kinda' neat...

(...) I'll give you "kinda". But as an owner of a Wrangler, I can tell you that I'd: 1. Never buy another Best-Lock set again (quality simply not up to snuff) <sorry for the non sequitor> 2. Rather build my own out of LEGO (LLC had some cool (...) (24 years ago, 1-Jan-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  OK...this is kinda' neat...

I've only ever seen a couple of clone toys that I really want (the Godzilla sets, specifically...anyone know where to get 'em?)...but if you are a fan or owner of the Jeep Wrangler, this is a pretty cool toy: (URL) of POOPs, but it makes for lots of (...)   Re: LOTR intelli-blox

(...) They have (or had) them at Target, for 30% off as of this morning. If you are able to find any they will probably be near the Megabloks and K'nex. Mine only had a couple of Buckleberry ferries (for $13.90) left today. BTW the person who told (...)   Re: LOTR intelli-blox

(...) So where are people finding these and what are they retailing at? Thx! John #388 (24 years ago, 31-Dec-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)
