Re: The Brick Testament parts the Red Sea

Massive SNIP (Read my first reply for these sections). (...) This is the key to any debate on God's love. As it was his greatest act of love. I will deal with your 3 points in order: 1) The mechanics: Think of a 3 leaf clover, the leaf's being God, (...) (22 years ago, 10-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

(...) I cub be wrong, but I'd call this a sorry attempt to switch from the equine to the ursine, and I don't think I could berra 'nother lame animal thread. It would be a big boo-boo. Maggie (22 years ago, 10-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.pun)

Only a superpower would try to take the world's temperature thus.

In the era of the focus group and opinion poll, I thought this US study was very interesting: Not such a super power after all (URL) the spread of American ideas good or bad? Here in Britain, 50% say bad. But this soars to 67% in Germany, 68% in (...) (22 years ago, 10-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Geek trivia help?

(...) You took the words right out of my mouth. Good memory. Except, it wasn't Scorpina it was Pythona. Golobulus was the one who was half snake, during most of the movie he rides in a big ball shaped pod, but at the end when he is fighting Falcon, (...)   Re: New posting rules for members?

(...) Ya, I had to admit I snickered after I read that. All kidding aside though, having it ask you over and over who you are is symptomatic of a need to go through setup again and have it save the cookie with the identifying information on your (...)   Tack-Tiles - "Braille Bricks"

Tack-Tiles began when Kevin Murphy mutilated Lego bricks to create a new Braille teaching aid for his son. Today they are made the same size but with domed dots. A full kit comes with 320 Braille tiles and "slates" to snap them onto. A "Teaser" game (...) (22 years ago, 10-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: The Brick Testament parts the Red Sea

(...) For clarification, how is it that you know these 4 things for certain, but at the same time, little to nothing else about God's actions? Do you know these 4 things *because of the Bible*, or aside from the Bible? (...) OK, but what is it we (...) (22 years ago, 9-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Prolific Upcoming Weekend!

(...) I'd say that's 'cause (there's bad grammar right there for ya!) for you and me and average Joe, LASER is just a word now, is no longer an acronym, so we just say 'laser', much like SNAFU is not spelled out--it's 'a snafu'. However, we do say (...) (22 years ago, 9-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Prolific Upcoming Weekend!

(...) However, happenstance hopes he would see how hard it would be, that historic with an hard h is hardly 'old hat'. I mean, get a cockney accent on going and it's " 'istoric"--no h to be found at all. Dave K (22 years ago, 9-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Geek trivia help?

Embarassingly, I believe I know the answer to both of these. Yep... under the command of Hordac, The Horde was the collective name for the group of bad guys that harrassed She-Ra (He-Man's sister) in the land of Etheria. Originally the mentor of (...) Skeletor and the "Evil Horde"... As far as GI Joe, Cobra was the bad guy, but I don't remember a guy that was 1/2 snake (or at least, i don't remember his name)... Couldn't cobra turn into a snake?   Re: Prolific Upcoming Weekend!

(...) How official is this? I know some people pronounce historic with a soft or almost non-existent h making "an" the appropriate article. However, I pronounce history with a hard h, making the appropriate article "a" (or at least it sounds awkward (...) (22 years ago, 9-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Geek trivia help?

Like any good geek, I ordinarily have a pretty good memory for worthless pop-culture trivia, but I'm drawing a blank. Therefore I call upon my geek cronies to help me with this vital issue: During the 80's, I believe, some cartoon or comic book or (...) (22 years ago, 9-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
