(I don't like it either, but) it's actually very clever: it's a race truck,
which doesn't need a dual rear axle. By choosing a race truck subject, the
TLG designers could reduce the production costs of the set (tires are very
expensive elements) without violating the likeness to the real thing.

| (...) John, How is it that the 5563 is dumb but not the 5571? The 5563 is based on a two axle cabover design. We have one sitting outside my office. The only problem is that the rear wheels should have 2 on each side. This same problem is present on (...) (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.modelteam)
