While I was sorting, I came across arches and couldn't stop the fenders
flashing through my head without building a Beetle at the same scale as my
other cars.  As always, the doors open.  The front seats fold forward to let
passengers into the back.  Unfortunately, because of the construction
tecniques, I couldn't include an engine or trunk.  Since my website seems to be
down[1], here's the Brickshelf gallery:

If anyone wants a different view or a high res pic (I have 2048x1536s), let me
know.  Please LMKWYT (and be honest)!
Building instead of bickering,

1) maybe it's time I paid for a host...and I might as well get a domain in the
meantime...

Bram: (...) a bit too steep or high. Isn't it lower than the "wheel covers"? Jacob (who hasn't seen a classic VW for around 60 minutes ;-) (23 years ago, 8-Jun-01, to lugnet.town)

Very cool, Bram! You've once again proved that everything is possible with LEGO. I wouldn't have believed that such an accurate beetle could be made at that scale. Until I saw your photos, that is. Fredrik (23 years ago, 8-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

Hi Bram, (...) First of all: It's another great MOC! Lovely use of the arches around the wheels. And the little satellit dishes on the wheels. Brilliant. The only thing I am concerning are the front lights. They are too big! What about the dishes (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

(...) Ok, I honestly think: I want to know how many minifigs can be piled in there :-D and I think it's an adorable model! -Suz (23 years ago, 8-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

Wow-ow-ow! I just love it! The model of the year, IMHO. You haven't happened to LDraw it? :o) I'd like to see if I can build it with my limited parts, but in another colour. BTW, it is red, is isn't it? It looks quite orange at the pic's. /Tore (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

Bram, Dude, you rock! As usual. Very cool. And, with a little modification, you could turn it into a Citroen 2CV. James Wilson, Dallas, TX (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)
