I admit that’s a fair distinction, but in that case it must be granted that the Cars and Thomas license were/are maxi-scale Mega Bloks licenses. Although the systems are compatible and both belong to Mega Brands, they’re separate from micro-scale in much the same way that LEGO System is distinct from DUPLO.

For that matter, is it still called “System?” I’ve been out of the loop for a while.

   If you really want to talk about successful licensing, I’ll offer up the Lucasfilm one for comparison any time..... >:-D

LOL! Well, I wasn’t disputing the success of the license, merely the fact that in at least two cases the “clone” beat the “original” to the punch.

And seeing how sprawling and goofy the Star Wars license has grown over in recent years, I’m happy to favor the Halo license over the current crop of Lucas-love.
