Re: Cyndi Bradham featured in Raleigh News & Observer

(...) It's pretty interesting how the off-the-cuff things you say are what ends up being printed, while what you perceive as the actual interview does not. But any press is good press, right? C. (18 years ago, 8-Feb-07, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.loc.us.nc)

Get a glimpse of Legoland Missouri plan

RED Development, city and state officials held an open house today to present the LEGOLAND project and answer questions. I had the chance to drop by the presentation on the way home from work today. I did not have time to stay for the presentation, (...) (18 years ago, 8-Feb-07, to lugnet.legoland, lugnet.loc.us.mo, lugnet.loc.us.ks, lugnet.announce, lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

Re: Cyndi Bradham featured in Raleigh News & Observer

(...) I use variants of this comment ALL the time:-) (...) No, but being stuck writing about this is:-) Over here in good ol' NC, the News and Observer is a very liberal paper - while that doesn't really mean anything in terms of the bias of this (...)   Re: Cyndi Bradham featured in Raleigh News & Observer

(...) I love the logic: "What's the bid deal, I mean it could be heroin." I'll have to use that next time I'm justifying a big purchase ;) Nice example of unbiased reporting. He replies to your comment with an "Oohhh-Kaaay." So creating your own (...) (18 years ago, 6-Feb-07, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.loc.us.nc)

  Re: Eat your legos!

(...) Thanks for the info. This is NOT what i was expecting. I had visions of fruit grown/cut into lego, to then be consumed. more info is here: (URL) (18 years ago, 2-Feb-07, to lugnet.mediawatch)

  Eat your legos!

Lego will be supplying small models of apples, oranges, pears etc to be included in shrink-wrapped packages of imported South African fruit imported to Europe by a Belgian importer. A new and rather exotic source of sets! (18 years ago, 2-Feb-07, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: Nathan Sawaya in Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

(...) From what I understand, Steve's reply is most probable. You may notice throughout the show that all logos on buildings, shirts, tools, and so on are blurred out. The only exceptions are from companies who pay money to the show to sponsor it - (...) (18 years ago, 1-Feb-07, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: Nathan Sawaya in Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

(...) Or LEGO didn't want to pay for the advertising... Steve (18 years ago, 1-Feb-07, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: Nathan Sawaya in Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

(...) This may not be a "good" reason, but one reason they may not allow that is because LEGO has no control over how they are portrayed in the show. For example, someone could say, "that idiot plays with LEGOs" While most of us would support the (...) (18 years ago, 1-Feb-07, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: Nathan Sawaya in Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

(...) It sounds totally stupid to me that the world LEGO was not allowed to be used. I wonder what LEGO company idiot lawyer made that decision?? I have said this for years -- I see the LEGO group as a company that is more about missed marketing (...) (18 years ago, 1-Feb-07, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

Re: Nathan Sawaya in Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

(...) snip (...) snip (...) I watched the show. Since EHME did the LEGO Room for Brandon in May 22nd, 2005, I've have wondered if thay'll do a LEGO Room again. When I saw the LEGO stuff coming together, I was listening for the L word, since I was (...) (18 years ago, 23-Jan-07, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

Re: Nathan Sawaya in Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

(...) I missed seeing all but the last bit. (...) That's kinda odd - "The LEGO Group" was listed in the credits. (...) Sweet stuff! Steve (18 years ago, 22-Jan-07, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

Nathan Sawaya in Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

Hi all, there was an episode of Extreme Makeover on ABC this week that fetaured a family in Raleigh, NC. I was pretty happy to see that since I live there - they were unfortunately filming while I was out of country. But what was a really neat (...) (18 years ago, 22-Jan-07, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

Re: Lego name used in Scientific American

For some reason, I think that everyone at TLG (lawyers included) is preoccupied with the corporate downsizing this year. I had repeated requests for LEGO lawyer involvement with the LEGO CD, but never got a single reply. The folks in the LEGO (...) (18 years ago, 18-Jan-07, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: Lego name used in Scientific American

(...) Well, I guess we probably won't know if Lego approved or disapproved... All we know is that if they DID disapprove, they didn't have the will or the ability to back it up! It would be odd if they approved, though-- especially since their use (...) (18 years ago, 18-Jan-07, to lugnet.mediawatch)
