It has been my experience that capturing a model in one of the LEGO CAD
tools (I use ML-CAD) is the easiest part of the process of creating a set of
printable (emphasis on printable) instructions. I'd wager that the amount
of time to do all of the post CAD related work (image generation and
manipulation, document creation, image placement, etc.) is about 10x (maybe
more) the work of simply capturing it electronically.
