If the parts are not as described then the seller should pay all of the
shipping.  Period.

I have recently had to offer such a refund on a sale that I made.  It was a
mistake in listing a minifig where I accidently clicked on the one below the
one I meant to on the inventory screen.  The buyer contacted me, I explained
what had happened, and refunded his full payment plus the cost of shipping
them back to me.

Sure, I obviously lost money on the transaction, but the mistake was mine so
that is how it goes.  Also, I provided good customer service and am
confident that the buyer would be willing to purchase from me again in the
future instead of avoiding my store.

If a seller, especially one that sells used parts, wants to avoid
"differences of opinion" on part descriptions, perhaps they should try to be
a little more honest with themselves and their buyers when listing items.
Something with obvious bite marks is far from being in "Great Condition".
Something from your childhood collection, while useable, is most likely not
in great condition either.  I know nothing from my childhood collection
would even rate a "good" rating.

Hey Y'all:

I had a recent hassle with a seller on Brickbay who sold me a yellow • castle
minifigure and some other bits that were not in the "Great Condition"
described.  I found the black visor on the minifigure to have been chewed
(ABC) and other obvious defects on other items, but I kept most of the • items
I ordered from this seller.  I told him I was sending some of the stuff • back
for a refund of the purchase price and the cost of mailing the stuff back • to
him.  Today, after a two week delay since receipt of the items (which is • not
that big a deal except to note that some of the stuff I sent back to him • is
now for auction on eBay -so he has time to arrange for those auctions but
not to refund me my $$$), he informs me that he can refund the purchase
price but not my shipping charges.  Now the shipping charges are not a big
deal, but as a matter of principle I don't see why I should have to pay
shipping twice because his item descriptions were less than accurate.

My question is this: who pays shipping on a return item?

Thanks in advance,
