Hey Y'all:

I had a recent hassle with a seller on Brickbay who sold me a yellow castle
minifigure and some other bits that were not in the "Great Condition"
described.  I found the black visor on the minifigure to have been chewed
(ABC) and other obvious defects on other items, but I kept most of the items
I ordered from this seller.  I told him I was sending some of the stuff back
for a refund of the purchase price and the cost of mailing the stuff back to
him.

Er, you "told" him? Or did you mean you and he communicated about the
problem and agreed in advance that was the course of action that was
appropriate.

Someone who "tells" me how they are going to solve our mutual problem
without exploring alternatives with me first isn't going to get a positive
feedback from me, and possibly won't get to buy at all from me in future, so
I'm pretty sure that's not what you meant, because really, under that
facade, you're actually a nice guy.

If you and he communicated, he agreed to this course including determining
who pays for shipping, and then reneged, that's a legitimate beef indeed.

I tell big companies what I expect and in no uncertain terms, but I ask
LEGO(r) sellers and buyers how best to resolve problems and work with them
to do so. Big difference in my book. I tend to give people what they ask
for, it's a customer satisfaction issue. I tend to refuse people what they
demand, it's a matter of principle, the public be damned.

Sorry for jumping on one word... didn't think it's what really happened
anyway. Soapbox stowed.
