I am now the proud owner of 14 pounds of clones....

My latest additions to the clone pile came from an aquazone Crystal
expolerer sub and an Imperial Flagship I picked up off of ebay.  These • Tyco
blocks came in the guise of yellow 1x2s on the former and black 1x/2x • plates
on the latter.

Wow, all told, I have probably found a total of a couple dozen clone
bricks in auction lots labeled as LEGO (I have purchased a few clone
sets). I do have another big pile of clone bricks from the pile of stuff
I bought from a kid, but he told me it included some clone bricks, and
they weren't in the sets he had separated out (other than perhaps an
occaisional one or two bricks here and there).

And as many people could tell you, I've done a LOT of eBaying...

Not to impugn your watchfulness Frank, but are you sure you're looking
closely enough? I had a couple complete sets that after I assembled them, I
took them apart to clean, and then found clone pieces. I just expect clones
in lego lots on Ebay, and I have only been dissappointed a couple times.
It's a rare seller that gets a "Winnings were as described" endorsement in
their feedback. :)

I trust my watchfulness pretty good. I often catch the clone bricks because
of color differences.

I should note however that most of the stuff I buy has a low percentage of
basic bricks. Part of that is that most of it is sets.

It is probably also to some extent the sellers I buy from. At least half of
my eBay purchases are from regular sellers, who have consistently been shown
to "know their stuff" (though some have asked me about what they should call
this or that part).
