New Bulk Bricks added to Lego.com (basket set to U.S.) —Bob Parker
There's been several new additions to bulk bricks: 50x Sand Red 2x4 bricks $6.99 (item #10005) - I assume this is the same color as seen in Life On Mars sets 62x brick sets $4.99 in yellow, green, red, blue, white (these appear to be the same as (...)         Re: New Bulk Bricks added to Lego.com (basket set to U.S.) —James Brown
(...) Looks like 1 or 2 new items, and a bunch of older service packs being added back in. BTW, I'm not surprised that 5145 (62x grey bricks) is "not available", although I'd love it if they found some more hiding in a box somewhere. I cleared out (...)      Added lego.direct just because I hope they see this and it eventually sinks in. This is meant as constructive critisizm and not a random negative attack. (...) This is great... *but*... What am I going to do with just 2x4 bricks? Its like the brown (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: New Bulk Bricks added to Lego.com (basket set to U.S.) —Lindsay Frederick Braun
(...) Interesting. I wonder why sand red, when sand green has obviously already had a much longer and larger run for the Statues of Libety. (I almost wanted to say "Mothers of Invention." Ack.) Does a 2x4 sand red brick come in any current set? (I (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: New Bulk Bricks added to Lego.com (basket set to U.S.) —William R. Ward
(...) My guess is someone accidentally dumped a whole bunch of the sand red ABS balls into a 2x4 molding machine, and they had to dispose of them *somehow*... --Bill. (23 years ago, 23-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: New Bulk Bricks added to Lego.com (basket set to U.S.) —Ray Sanders
(...) OK, can someone help me 'grok' which color is Sand Red (not having bought any of the LOM sets as yet). Is this vaguly related to the 'pink' from paradisa ? I just looked at this color chart... (URL) Is Sand Red the same as 'Red+Gray', as (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: New Bulk Bricks added to Lego.com (basket set to U.S.) —Pete White
(...) I don't seem to remember any, but then I haven't put them together, only fondled the contents. (...) An odd choice, since it isn't in circulation yet. Maybe they want to sell more SoL sets and channel sand green that way. pete.w (23 years ago, 23-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: New Bulk Bricks added to Lego.com (basket set to U.S.) —Kevin Salm
(...) If my imagination is thinking of the right color combination, then perhaps in various sizes of bricks and plates this color could be useful --if Red enough--might be suitable for Imperial Guard or Imperial Armada land structures (detailing (...)
