Re: 6198 Sting Ray Stormer 37% off at Amazon —Todd Lehman
(...) d'Oh! Yes, you're right!!--thanks! My 6198 is still assembled (I like its tail!) but I took apart my 6977 within minutes (Insectoids, blyeah). (...) I can't wait for those! I think we might even get the larger size (14x14) and not the smaller (...) (25 years ago, 1-Apr-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: 6198 Sting Ray Stormer 37% off at Amazon —Frank Filz
(...) Ooh, hand't looked at the MF pictures close enough. That would be cool (I'm not aware of any other set which used the bottoms). That would be nice, then I could build a super size water tower... Frank (25 years ago, 1-Apr-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

        UFO dome/hull bottoms —Todd Lehman
(...) That would rock! (I gotta smile at thought of a watertower with blaster damage on top :-) Someone a while back (I think it was Michael Dorneich) said he was planning to build a football stadium with UFO domes. --Todd [XFUT -> .build] (25 years ago, 1-Apr-00, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.build)

Re: UFO dome/hull bottoms —James Brown
(...) Nah, Todd must have been refering to the line from Star Wars: "I'd say about 20 guns, some in the trench, some on the water towers." <grin, duck & run> James (URL) getting paid for this --> alladvantage.com Sign up via me, the reference $$ go (...)         Re: 6198 Sting Ray Stormer 37% off at Amazon —Lindsay Frederick Braun
(...) AFAIK (and I've been looking for a while) no set has ever used 14x14 bottoms. From looking at the MF pictures again, it looks like they're 10x10s simply "moved apart" far enough to give the proper outside diameter; this would explain why the (...)         Re: 6198 Sting Ray Stormer 37% off at Amazon —Frank Filz
(...) Well, I still have another set of 4 blank tops from the small stack of 6979s I bought at clearance for the electronics. Of course I may have to re-build a MF with anti-freeze tops... Of course we'll also be getting tan tops... Frank (25 years ago, 1-Apr-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: 6198 Sting Ray Stormer 37% off at Amazon —Lindsay Frederick Braun
(...) Did they ever make 14x14 antifreeze tops? (...) The AAT in general I can't wait for--it looks to me like it's going to be an extremely good model with great tan parts. And apparently all for $20! I'm tempted to build one in grey and black (...) (25 years ago, 1-Apr-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: 6198 Sting Ray Stormer 37% off at Amazon —Todd Lehman
(...) Good question! My memory was that they had, but upon checking, I couldn't find any! :-( Sure seemed like it. Shows how much I know anymore about Space stuff. :-p (...) Drooling already! Those dark gray 2x2x3 sloped bricks are killa! --Todd (25 years ago, 1-Apr-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: 6198 Sting Ray Stormer 37% off at Amazon —Lindsay Frederick Braun
(...) I wasn't aware of any, and hoped that I was dead wrong. :( Nuts! (...) Are you thinking of the MTT? I think the AAT doesn't have any 2x2x3s. best LFB (25 years ago, 1-Apr-00, to lugnet.starwars)
