I made a quick stop at the Plymouth Meeting, PA Target in the Philadelphia suburbs. The large train set is on clearance for $111 Caboose around $10 Passenger car around $13 Log carrier car around $11 They had about 15 of each car and 10 of the large (...) (...) I've wondered the same sorts of things about Target. What I particularly remember is that last spring/summer Target had the Tantive IV and the Yoda sculpture, and clearanced them quickly. In that case it was great to see big sets in the (...) (22 years ago, 13-Dec-02, to lugnet.market.theory)

I believe, that in general, if a new product does not move in a few weeks, Target will blow it out. I think this is a great strategy by Target. I'm no retail expert, but I think selling a slow moving item at a cut price and getting fresh stock on (...) (22 years ago, 13-Dec-02, to lugnet.market.theory)

I don't think much of a leap is needed to figure out how *that* particular product line is going... I've never seen TRU slap an orange clearance sticker on a toy as fast as they did for Galidor.
