  Re: 7153-Jango Fett's Slave I $24.88 at Target

(...) I love mistakes like this. It's the danger of having such an enormous operation--if you don't check your Ts and Is to make sure they're crossed and dotted, you've only got yourself to blame when customers come in for the sale! (Heck, even the (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: 7153-Jango Fett's Slave I $24.88 at Target

(...) This was a mistake by Target; it was supposed to be 8011 Jango Fett for $24.88. My local Target has already changed the display to indicate that 8011 is on sale instead of 7153, but they didn't change it in their computer yet. John (22 years ago, 19-May-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: 7153-Jango Fett's Slave I $24.88 at Target

(...) If you take the ad elsewhere to get the price matched, you may want to go early in the week before Target runs out. My local TRU called to verify that they had them in stock and that the ad wasn't a mistake. Add that to the hassle of using (...) (22 years ago, 19-May-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: 7153-Jango Fett's Slave I $24.88 at Target

(...) Thanks for the heads-up--I just popped out and indeed, here in NJ, they *are* $24.88 apiece. I picked up two. Better hurry and get yours! (Or alternately, take that ad down to your local retailer and get it matched...?) LFB (22 years ago, 19-May-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Is there a Lego company store in Enfield, CT?

(...) Mmmmmmmm! I wonder if they're hiring janitors or something? (...) I bet that if such a trip were coordinated, a van full of GardenSLUGs could meet y'all there!   Re: Re: Is there a Lego company store in Enfield, CT?

Sorry, There isn't a store there. I went in March. I can't remember if there were tours or not, but I'm pretty sure they stopped doing them. The only things to see down there, are the sculptures in the front lawn and a day care that has large lego (...)   Re: Ames, 32% off today and tomorrow

(...) On the hunch, I went to my NJ Ames; the sale appears to be chainwide. I got a bunch of great stuff! Alas, none of the really great sets I wanted were there, and the grandstands for $5.94 were NOT on sale (a "special buy"). LFB (22 years ago, 17-May-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Is there a Lego company store in Enfield, CT?

(...) Sadly, it seems no :( I've heard from about 4 different sources who have said there's no stores or 'real' publically accessible areas (their lobby maybe) in Enfield. And no, they don't do public tours :( [though it has been a long standing (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-02, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.us.ct, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Is there a Lego company store in Enfield, CT?

I'm heading out to CT to visit family this August. Is there a Lego company store anywhere near the Enfield HQ? Can I use my membership and good-standing in the Lugnet community to arrange a private tour of the facility for myself and my family? ;-) (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Ames, 32% off today and tomorrow

(...) Mea culpa! This is the Ames a few miles east of Webster, New York, I don't know if other Ames have the same sales, though I expect Rochester area ones would, based on the TV ad. George (22 years ago, 17-May-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Ames, 32% off today and tomorrow

(...) George, Where are you? That would be extremely helpful. (In fact, it's a good rule of thumb for *all* .shopping finds--not just because it rightfully annoys those outside the US, but because it sends those of us *in* the US on a desperate (...)   Ames, 32% off today and tomorrow

Our local Ames is having a combination sale, 20% off on toys, and 15% off everything, which combined at the register for 32%.   Open Invitation from A-tkt on BL.com

To all Lego fans, This is an open invitation to visit my store, A-tkt on Bricklink.com. (URL) opened the store in September of 2001 with the help of my two cousins Troy and Ken.   Kmart Finds

My local Kmart has the toy discount up to 60%. If you look around you can find banged up boxes, or some sets that have a lower than MSRP marked price. Since the 60% comes off the lowest marked price, this can lead to some hefty savings. Today I was (...) (22 years ago, 16-May-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: US S@H Specials, May 15 - May 21, 2002

(...) These sets are all gone by the way. I tried to get one more for my wife's father and had to settle for a couple of new train cars. Alas. I went through 11 Time Trains some years ago! Great for parting out... Two black 3x3 corner slopes... (22 years ago, 15-May-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)
