Hi, I'm considering going to the TRU Midnight Madness on the 23rd but is it worthwhile? Are there any discounts or BOGO's? How about special offers like a free ticket to SW for $100 in purchases? After being cooped up in my house for a half a day I had to get out. My first stop was TRU. That was really bad. The shelves were pretty much everything of Bionicle, Bob the builder, and Jack stone. I have seen this phenomenon too, esspecially right before the begining of the christmas sales. so far I have only seen it on lego items and it usually is on the slightly more expensive sets, like over $30. Conrad, I wouldn't say there is anything special Lego-wise here in St. Louis. We have the standard stores: Wal-Marts, K-Marts, Targets, TRUs, KB and three KB Outlets sprinkled here and there. (...) I think there may be another reason (although, I'm not sure it would work)... Could they maybe paste the UPC code onto a more expensive set and have it ringup for the cheaper cost?
