Re: 2X4 Tan Brick Packs Now in Stock!

(...) Alright! At least you don't have to sink your money into Yoda sculptures to get your hands on those ever elusive 2x4 tan bricks! Now, I'm just wondering If Lego will ever make a Harry Potter accessory pack? Just my two brickz... <<_Matt (...) (23 years ago, 31-Mar-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Next Round of Tuesday Morning Sales (Bit of a Scoop)

Here in Richmond, VA there is a Tuesday Morning store just up the street from me. There is also one crosstown that I visit occasionally on my lunch hour. I dropped into the "lunch" one the other day and saw that they had a sign on the door that (...) (23 years ago, 31-Mar-02, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.org.us.richlug)

  Re: No-Lego buying resolution tanks

(...) I think the clearance-scavenger bottom-feeder behavior is part of why Lego does not consider us a real market segment (other than there being very few of us compared to families with children.) It's also that I'd rather save my money than buy (...) (23 years ago, 31-Mar-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: No-Lego buying resolution tanks

Oh, OK. So you're saying that you don't want to waste your money on the Jack Stone junk, etc. because you already have plenty of good stuff? It makes perfect sense now! I agree that the Super Chief is a set worth buying. I also esteem Dan Siskind's (...) (23 years ago, 31-Mar-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: No-Lego buying resolution tanks

(...) All things in moderation... Also, I have enough Lego, and have no desire to reward their current mediocrity. I didn't say I wasn't building, just not buying. OK, I also bought a Super Chief for a gift. Have you tried puppies? (23 years ago, 31-Mar-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: No-Lego buying resolution tanks

3 months? Really? My evil resolution to not burn kittens only lasted a month and a half this year. So, how are everyone else's evil resolutions going? (Oh my goodness, did I just type that?!) Seriously, what's up with a resolution to NOT buy LEGOS? (...) (23 years ago, 31-Mar-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: LSAH out of tan 2X4 packs

This just in: The LHAS rep was wrong. The tan 2X4's came 13 days after the main shipment; not 3 months later like she'd said. (Woo Hoo!) (23 years ago, 31-Mar-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  No-Lego buying resolution tanks

My resolution not to buy Lego this year survived 3 months. The other day I bought the Cloud Car at The Construction Site (Waltham, MA.) However, I got $30 of Lasy and other construction toys before breaking down and buying Lego, so it didn't seem (...) (23 years ago, 30-Mar-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Misc things at KB -- Mars 73XX, Dinos, Racers

Seen at a KB near SF, CA: LOM sets 7300, 7301, 7302, 7303 - all 2/$5. First time I've seen 02 and 03 at retail. Racers (looked like the first batch, mostly, tho I didn't look closely) - also 2/$5. Young Dinos -- again 2 /$5. Vader + TIE for $30. (...) (23 years ago, 30-Mar-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)
