| Stumbled across some of the Shell sets today, first time I've seen them in Washington state. They had 1252, 1253, 1254, 1255, 1256 all at advertised prices. | (...) KB in general confuses me. I just don't quite get their pricing strategy. LEGO sets an MSRP and most retailers hew to it, or go a few cents below (like Walmart) KB on the other hand is typically 10-20% above MSRP. I don't know other toy lines (...) | What I find humorous was that this used to be listed on the regular KB site for $15, with an "Original Value" of $25. Now it seems to be listed at a straight $19.95.
