  Re: KB Wholesale?

(...) (ersatz handwritten...) yes, I agree. But does it actually work. Don't answer that, because "yes" would just depress me. ++Lar (23 years ago, 8-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: KB Wholesale?

(...) I think trying to make the consumer THINK they're getting a deal is the point. Almost everything in the store has those handwritten prices in red ink on the labels.   Re: KB Wholesale?

(...) KB in general confuses me. I just don't quite get their pricing strategy. LEGO sets an MSRP and most retailers hew to it, or go a few cents below (like Walmart) KB on the other hand is typically 10-20% above MSRP. I don't know other toy lines (...)   Re: KB Wholesale?

What I find humorous was that this used to be listed on the regular KB site for $15, with an "Original Value" of $25. Now it seems to be listed at a straight $19.95.   Re: KB Wholesale?

Peeron's pic is correct. I have about 5-7 of these tubs from a previous KB Online sale, and that's the baseplate, alright. And the tub DOES have a separate green lid, thankfully.   Re: Lego aircraft, and additional S@H stuff

(...) Well, I got my 1775 on Thursday, and 1817 on Friday. Nice sets. And I just got the January S@H catalogue with Friday's shipment. I hadn't seen it before. Very strange, considering I had 3 seperate orders in the month before, and they (...)   Re: KB Wholesale?

(...) Maybe yes, maybe no (on the discount). They claim that the tub was a $20 item, lugnet seems to think it was a '$40?' item. Set in question appears to be <set:4291>. The KBW picture shows a standard green lid with what appeas to be a green (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Deals at KB-Toys

(...) Same here in NYC. My KB received these sets in a shipment last week, so I guess this is the same senario in which KB buys old stock from Lego, such as the Night Lord Castle last year.   All Bionicle Sets Found at NJ TRU

Hi all, What the subject says is pretty much it. All of them were there, including the BIG bionicle sets and the 2-packs of masks (not in polybags, but in boxes, as it happens). They also had the card game and the entire line of Jack Stone (oh boy, (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)
