This is the breakdown of what I observed (keep in (...) (24 years ago, 4-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.us.ga, lugnet.loc.us.fl)

  Re: Train Parts from S@H?

(...) <ZING!> Man, that was fast, James! :] The Summer catalogue(s) I got (my first) didn't have them in them, so this was the first time I'd ever seen them. I just figured that meant they were new.   Re: Train Parts from S@H?

(...) Nope. They have been available for the entire time the trains have been available, except that when it was 4.5 V, one had to have a UK address to get stuff... (that was when the S@H service in the UK was _much_ better than in Canada) James (24 years ago, 3-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) Walmart and Target have both started carrying their own private brands of toys, which seem to emphasize big boxes at low prices. My guess is that they're making room for those. Ran (24 years ago, 29-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Tuesday Morning wash-out

Yes, I've noticed it here in western Ohio, too, but some I think is simply seasonal re-arrangement that they do. In my area Wal-Marts, the LEGO seems to move around the toy section about twice a year, like now, in the pre-Christmas run-up. I suspect (...) (24 years ago, 28-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)
