Re: FOTW: Blimps for a Buck!!

Hit the nearest walmart to me yesterday (over an hour away). plenty of stock on the shelf, but nothing marked down. i take that back. i did find about 50 advent calendars, marked down to a fantastic (not) price of $15. my wife wants to move back to (...)   Re: FOTW: Blimps for a Buck!!

(...) There is some evidence to support this: I noticed some more markdowns at the local WM today. I asked the toy dept person directly: are these local markdowns or did they come down from corp ? I was told these were local. So, based on several (...) (25 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Keeping Larry Amused

(...) Well I can speculate, although I don't play Todd on TV, even... If you view the page source for the page I refed, the phrase: "You may be able to buy this set online from *eToys*" (where eToys is the hyper link expands to: <UL TYPE=SQUARE> (...) HMMM curious question... Maybe one that Todd can answer Does Lugnet benefit if we link to e-Toys form Lugnet... I am alomost convinced that the e-Toys server would have a way of knowing that you just left lugnet to get to their site... Should be all (...) (25 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Keeping Larry Amused

FUT .market.shopping as this is a shopping-ish question (...) No, it's not a store. Rather, it's a way to get rebates. Many e-commerce websites have so called "affinity programs" where they pay a rebate/kickback (1) to the site that gave them the (...)   Re: FOTW: Blimps for a Buck!!

Don't be too bummed out... I just made a run to my WM and they have not yet marked down the AirZep's... still at $9. Maybe tomorrow, or maybe it was a manager's decision at Tom's store. My store has a couple dozen also... I may have to help them (...) (25 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: FOTW: Blimps for a Buck!!

This is not my day. I live an hour away from the nearest Wal-Mart. I just stopped there about two hours ago. I was very disappointed that the two Ninja sets that I've been eyeing up disappeared in the last 48 hours. I scanned a ton of sets, but (...) (25 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  FOTW: Blimps for a Buck!!

I just stopped off at my local Walmart and caught the guy reducing the price of the Adventurers set #5956 "Air Zeppelin" to a $1.00 each. That's right...a dollar! I picked up all that was left (15). You might want to check the Walmart in your area! (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Fred Meyer has sets for 50% off

I was in a Fred Meyers today and they had numerous sets for 50% off. They included 1998 and 1999 Adventurer's sets, 8735 motors, and some City center sets. Only went to one store so I don't know what else they put on clearance. Rose (25 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Is anybody interested in numerous 4930s?

My local Kmart has numerous boxes of 4930 Rock Raiders Crew for less than the $6 MSRP. If anybody is interest, I can grab a number of these next month during the next BOGO sale. The price will probably run between $3-4 a box plus shipping. Let me (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: LEGO Clearance in Dallas and my journey back to Raleigh,NC (part 2)

Actually I got one of these, plus a 7150 for $12. I have a Target store near me which is sloppy about their toy section and do a poor job maintaining Legos. One night I was checking out their selection (seeing what was left on clearance at 50%) and (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Slightly off-topic FOTM (Find of the MONTH)

You can do this at OfficeMax as well, and the rebate is good through February 26th. However, it's only for $40, so you end up paying a whopping $19.93 plus tax on $59.93. I did it yesterday. You might also try Best Buy; they have the $50 rebate (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)
