(...) actually sorta tried this, and found that they wouldnt price match anything that was on clearance, no matter what day it was, or when I bought it. They told me clearance was clearance and unless I was straight up returning it, they wouldn't (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) Last time I tried this they said the point of clearances was to clear. They'd let me return the items and get what I paid back (40% off) but stated... you will have to wait 24 hours to rebuy at the lower price. I did not want to chance having (...) (...) About 5 or 6 years ago, I would regularly bring receipts back on clearance items which had gone down further to receive the cash difference. That is, if I had bought some of set XXX, and then I found a Target store with that same set marked (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)
