Re: Last round of Target markdowns?

(...) I noticed a free pack of Pokemon cards was added to my order, too. My LEGO sets are marked 'in process', not back ordered. Weird. I'm ... er, that is, my kids are interested in the Pokemon collecting card game Booster Paks from Wizards of the (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Clearance price-matching (was Re: Last round of Target markdowns?)

(...) I don't understand this logic. 'We don't want it anymore, so it's on clearance. But you can return it for the 40% off price and we'll give you all the money back. Then we WILL sell it again, but at a MUCH LOWER price, but NOT TO YOU, because (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Last round of Target markdowns?

(...) actually sorta tried this, and found that they wouldnt price match anything that was on clearance, no matter what day it was, or when I bought it. They told me clearance was clearance and unless I was straight up returning it, they wouldn't (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Clearance price-matching (was Re: Last round of Target markdowns?)

(...) Last time I tried this they said the point of clearances was to clear. They'd let me return the items and get what I paid back (40% off) but stated... you will have to wait 24 hours to rebuy at the lower price. I did not want to chance having (...)   Clearance price-matching (was Re: Last round of Target markdowns?)

(...) About 5 or 6 years ago, I would regularly bring receipts back on clearance items which had gone down further to receive the cash difference. That is, if I had bought some of set XXX, and then I found a Target store with that same set marked (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Last round of Target markdowns?

Adam, (...) A lot of stores are asking for ID now, depending on the store, they might need the credit card as well. Well, if it works, good luck! You worked at Best Buy too, huh? I worked there a couple months, I didn't like being a cashier there. (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Last round of Target markdowns?

was at a best buy while on vacation during christmas. an item that i purchased rang up higher than the shelf price. didn't notice this until i walked out the door, came right back in to get it corrected. they required my credit card and drivers (...)   Re: Last round of Target markdowns?

(...) Granted it's been years since I worked the returns desk at Best Buy, but we never required the card or a picture I.D. of any kind back then. And if it's a return, I doubt the signature means anything, nobody would dispute a huge credit on (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Last round of Target markdowns?

(...) <<tongue-in-cheek allusion to another thread>> I understand that TRU has a fairly laid-back return policy--maybe you could try them, instead! <<end of allusion>> Dave! (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Last round of Target markdowns?

(...) Hmm... I don't know if they have to honor that, much less the credit card legalities, I don't think the person who you sent the receipt to, could legally sign for the credit card, and they usually require the card and a drivers license as (...)
