Re: Shipping LEGO from EU to USA

(...) Duty is charged you at the point of pickup. You'd get a slip saying that you have a package waiting at the post office on which tariff or duty is owed, you'd go to the PO, and pay the duty. LEGO is duty-free, and I'm going to try darn hard to (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.market.theory, lugnet.market.shipping)

Same here, but it couldn't hurt to have a hardcopy of the relevant regulation in the box and a reference to the ID number on the customs declaration form, just in case your package encouters an eager yet clueless customs officer, if any such (...)   Shipping LEGO from EU to USA

Hi all, I'm now faced with the dilemma of shipping lots of LEGO from the EU to the US. I remember at some point in a discussion someone mentioned the shipping code that LEGO falls under, thus rendering it duty-free--but I can't find the article or (...)   Re: WOW ~ #1593 Classic Space ~ It's here!!!!

(...) Class...pure class! I'm thoroughly impressed with what you have to say. You're exactly right, though, on the theory of getting Lego. MOST of us just love Lego. I'm not a space collector (I'm a Town collector) but I think everyone one of us (...) (23 years ago, 14-Apr-01, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.market.shipping)

Re: How much does LEGO Weigh?

(...) I'm not so sure that would be helpful..., well, at least not in many cases. I ship MISB sets out of BrickBay, and I have never once paid for shipping charges based on weight---it's always gone by volume. LEGO packaging has just too much air in (...)   Re: WOW ~ #1593 Classic Space ~ It's here!!!!

First let me say, Thanks! I don't think many of us here at lugnet like to brag (too much!) about the stuff we have. Most of us just love Lego, so we're willing to make some strange sacrifices in order to get more. Unfortunately for me, I had to (...)   Re: WOW ~ #1593 Classic Space ~ It's here!!!!

Hello everyone. This 1593 deal pretty much fascinated me. I guess it's safe to consider this set to be the rarest set out there? I have NEVER heard of a Lego going for so much money before. In fact, the most expensive set that I had ever seen before (...) (23 years ago, 13-Apr-01, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.market.shipping)

Re: How much does LEGO Weigh?

(...) I wonder if different colors have different weights? If you could weigh the standard bricks (1x1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 2x2,3,4) Then compare, say, 2x4's of different colors, it would add to our knowledge base... Then Steve Bliss could add that to the (...)
