Just my $.02 on this issue (about two 2 weeks late, but hey, somebody
stole my computer):
As far as the initiating party "owning" the box, although it doesn't
really matter one way or the other, I'd hardly say anybody would have
reason to gripe if somebody turned loose a box and requested it back
after the Xth person and then kept it for himself, since it was his
initial investment in the first place and everybody else is presumably
putting in stuff of approximately equal value. But then again, as Lar
mentioned, if the Xth person didn't send it back to him, it's not like
he'd have any real recourse.
